- Do Keyword Research using free online tools like
- ubersuggest.org
- Google Keyword Planner
- Google.com/trends
- Title Tag should be less than 80 Characters (< 60 Characters Recommended)
- Title Tag use Keywords of that page not more than twice. Use symbols like Hyphens (-) & Pipe (shift + \) (- |)
- Meta Descrioption within 160 characters less than (140 - 154 Recommended) and use commas not more than 5 times and Description not less than 51 Characters.
- Url Length should be less than 100 characters.
- In Url use Small case with no space and use hypens instead of underscores.
- Use Kws in image file name (4 - 5words) with Alt tags.
- H1 Tag (use 2 - 5 Words) and use this tag only once on the Page and Title Keywords should be there in H1 Tags.
- H2 Tag (use 1 - 5 Words).
- Page Content should be at least 300 words (400 - 600) will be max.
- Relevant Keywords with Relevant Content on the page.
- Use images less than 12 per page.
- Limit 100 links per page.
- Use words like click here / learn more … rather than kw rich in internal links.
- Page load should be very low.
- Create 404 page.
- Create Robots.txt with Clear instructions to Search Bots.
- In .htaccess file redirect the non www version to www version. And redirect index.html to main root directory.
- create xml sitemap and submit them via google webmaster tools.
- Install Google Analytics on each page to track the visitors and robots activity with our site.
- It's a good idea to remember when designing your website that search engines don't recognize images. They recognize text. Always add alt tags to images.
